Attwood 3 lb Folding Grapnel Anchor Kit with Rope

Folding grapnel is the right pattern for a small boat: the flukes fold flat so it stows in a locker, and it holds well in rock, weed and gravel where a plough does nothing. Attwood have made marine hardware for a century and the kit arrives complete — anchor, rode, shackles — which matters because an anchor without the right rope is an ornament. Three pounds suits a tender, a jon boat or a skiff, not a thirty-footer. It will drag in soft mud, which is the honest limitation of the type. Rinse it with fresh water.
