Build a Boyfriend is a recommendation site. We do not sell anything, hold stock, take payment, or ship parcels. Every purchase you make happens on someone else's website, under their terms.

Using this site means accepting what follows. If you disagree with any of it, the remedy is simple: don't use the site.

What we are, and what we are not

We research products, write about them, and link to the retailers who sell them — chiefly Amazon. We are not the merchant of record for any item on this site. We are not a party to your purchase. Your contract for any order is with Amazon, The Luxury Closet, or whichever retailer takes your payment, and any question about the order itself — where it is, whether it fits, how to send it back — has to go to them. Our shipping and returns page summarises the retailers' own published terms as a convenience; those terms are theirs and they can change them without telling us.

Prices and availability

We deliberately do not publish live prices, because we cannot keep them accurate and a stale price is worse than none. Where we describe something as costing roughly a certain amount, treat it as a band and nothing more. The price on the retailer's page at the moment you check out is the only real one.

Stock moves constantly. We sweep the catalogue for dead and unavailable listings and replace what we find, but a product that was in stock this morning can be gone by evening, and a listing can be withdrawn by its seller at any time.

Our reviews and ratings

The star scores and written verdicts on this site are our editorial opinion, formed from the sourcing standard set out on how we rate. They are not laboratory testing, and they are not a guarantee that a product will suit you. Read them as an argument you are free to disagree with.

We earn affiliate commission — see the disclosure — and commission rates play no part in what we choose to feature or how we score it.

No professional advice

Nothing here is financial, legal, medical or grooming advice specific to you. Watches and jewellery are written about as objects to enjoy, not as investments. Skincare is written about as a preference, not a treatment. If you need advice about your own circumstances, ask somebody qualified to give it.

Intellectual property

The writing, ratings, collections and page design here are ours. Please do not republish them wholesale. Product photographs belong to Amazon or the respective brand and are displayed from their servers under the terms of the Amazon Associates Programme; they are not ours to license on. Brand names and trade marks belong to their owners and are used to identify products, which does not imply any endorsement of this site by them.

Once you follow a link away from here you are on a site we do not run and cannot vouch for. We are not responsible for its content, its security, or what it does with your data.

Liability

This site is provided as it is. We work hard to be accurate and we correct mistakes when we find them, but we do not warrant that everything here is complete, current or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from relying on this site or from any purchase you make elsewhere after reading it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
