Shipping & returns
Build a Boyfriend does not sell, hold, ship or return anything. Every pick on this site is fulfilled by the retailer it links to. When you click through, you are buying from Amazon, from The Luxury Closet or from one of our CJ partners, and their terms are the ones that apply to your order.
We have set out what each of them does below, because the differences matter — a watch shipped from Dubai on a three-day return window is a very different purchase from a jumper on Amazon Prime.
Amazon orders
Most of what we link to is sold and shipped by Amazon or an Amazon seller. Shipping speed, delivery estimates, tracking, returns and refunds are all handled inside your Amazon account under Amazon's own return policy, which is shown on the product page before you buy and again at checkout.
We do not see your order and cannot look it up, change it, cancel it or refund it. If something goes wrong, Amazon customer service is the only party that can help — we have no access to the transaction.
The Luxury Closet — pre-owned watches and jewellery
Our watch pages link to pre-owned pieces sold by The Luxury Closet, reached through loryn.com. These are one-of-one items, and the terms are stricter than a normal retail purchase. As published by The Luxury Closet:
- Ships from Dubai, UAE. Orders are dispatched internationally by The Luxury Closet.
- Three-day return window. Any return or cancellation request must be raised within three days of delivery. The Luxury Closet arranges collection of the returned item.
- Some items cannot be returned at all. Non-returnable pieces are marked “No returns on this item” on the item page. Check before you buy.
- Return processing fee. USD 5 plus VAT per item outside the UAE (AED 20 plus VAT inside it) is deducted from the refund on customer-initiated returns.
- Refunds take about seven business days after the item is received and passes a quality check, back to the original payment method. Card refunds can take a further 7–14 business days to appear.
- Customs and duties are yours to pay everywhere except the GCC, where they are included in the price. The courier will contact you at clearance. Refunds do not include shipping costs, duties or taxes you have already paid.
- Delivery is not guaranteed by placing an order. Because stock is listed live with partner collectors, The Luxury Closet may occasionally cancel and refund an order in full if a piece turns out to be unavailable.
Restrictions apply to items made with exotic materials in some countries, and The Luxury Closet does not ship to OFAC-sanctioned countries. Their customer service can confirm anything specific to your destination.
CJ partners
Some pages link to Coofandy for menswear, Abracadabra NYC for costumes, and Hotel Collection for home scent. Each of those retailers ships, charges and accepts returns on its own published terms, shown on their site at checkout. Again, we are not party to the order.
Prices
We do not display Amazon prices anywhere on this site — Amazon's terms only permit that through their API with a live refresh, so we show our own price bands instead. The price on the retailer's page at the moment you buy is the price that applies. Pre-owned watch prices shown on our watch pages are The Luxury Closet's and can change or sell out without notice.
Getting in touch
