Titleist's Tour Performance is the default cap in professional golf, and the prior-generation version is the same hat a season behind at a lower price. Moisture-wicking front panel, structured crown that holds its shape rather than collapsing after a summer, and an adjustable back that fits most heads. It is a logo cap, so the appeal is tribal as much as functional — if he plays Titleist balls he will want it, and if he does not, it is just a well-made hat. Runs slightly deep in the crown. Buy it as the safe small golf gift; there is very little to get wrong.
