Kingdom Men Rising Devotional by Tony Evans

Evans writes with more directness than most devotional authors and this one has a clear argument about responsibility running underneath the daily entries, which stops it drifting into encouragement for its own sake. At 4.9 it is among the best-rated things in this collection. It is explicitly about manhood, so it is a pointed gift rather than a neutral one — that is a strength if the recipient wants it and a misfire if he does not. Buy it for someone who responds to being challenged. Skip it if the relationship does not carry that.
